The Fog is Lifting

I have been dreaming of the day since I was very young when I could paint for hours, getting lost in the joy of creating beautiful images of our natural world. In 2020 I retired from my full time music teaching position and the Shelter in Place order provided me that rare opportunity to paint full time! I brought my dream of creating a Plein Air Festival to the City of Capitola when I served for 2 years as a commissioner for the Cultural Commission and cannot wait to be a participant. My career as a professional musician, performing on flute with the Santa Cruz Symphony for 20 years and teaching music at Cabrillo College took up most of the creative energy I have been able to give until recently. The "gift" of the Covid pandemic allowed me the time and I have poured myself into my art. I have created over 40 paintings in 2020, created a website and begun to sell my work!
