About Capitola Lifeguards

MISSION:

As open-water lifesavers, our mission is to diligently promote beach safety awareness and uphold professional lifeguard standards within Capitola. Through systematic public education, structured training programs, and disciplined junior lifeguard initiatives, we aim to establish a comprehensive approach to safety.

Our commitment extends beyond the local scope to encompass the entirety of Santa Cruz County, the United States, and the global community. The primary objective is the prevention and reduction of aquatic injuries, accidents, and fatalities at open-water beaches.

In adherence to rigorous standards, we implement strategic measures ensuring a proficient and well-prepared lifeguard force. Capitola serves as our primary jurisdiction, and we approach our responsibilities with a sense of duty, professionalism, and dedication.

Our overarching goal is to maintain the highest level of public safety, thereby fostering a secure environment for beachgoers in Capitola, contributing to the overall well-being of Santa Cruz County, and open-water safety worldwide.
