Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is there a half-day camp option and transportation between Junior Guards and Camp Capitola?
A: Yes. you must register for transportation.
Q: Can we register in person?
A: No, Registration is available online only. Phone support will be available 831-475-5935.
Q: Can we ride bikes to the program?
A: All participants need to be checked in by a parent or guardian on the first day of the session. There will be an option to ride bikes after that. It is not recommended for participants under the age of 12 to ride their bike to the program.
Q: Are siblings going to be placed in the same group?
A: Participants will be placed in their age cohort unless parent or guardian request for siblings to be placed together.
Q: What are the age requirements for Lil Campers?
A: Lil' Campers is recommended for 4.5yr-5yr olds, eligible for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) based on the state's age requirements. Camper must be potty trained.
Q: Do you offer program scholarships?
A: Yes, the Capitola Public Safety & Community Service Foundation provide a limited amount of scholarships for children who otherwise would not be able to afford the program.
Scholarship applications are awarded on a first come first served basis. If you are applying for a scholarship, please register for Camp or Guards with a partial payment at your check out screen. If you do not receive a scholarship, the rest of your payment will be due two weeks after your first payment.
