SC County's Treated Wood Waste Acceptance Policy Has Changed
The County of Santa Cruz has updated the Acceptance Policy for Treated Wood Waste (TWW). Please refer to the attached flyer or click here to be redirected to the the Santa Cruz County website for more information. In summary:
All woodwaste loads must be FREE OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Pressure Treated or Painted Lumber
- Particle Board, Chipboard, MDF or OSB
- Pampas Grass, Palm, Yucca or Bamboo
- Cape Ivy
- Poison Oak
- Refuse
- Plastic Bags
- Plastics of any type, including "Compostable" No Paper
- Petroleum Contaminated Wood
- Metal / Hardware (except nails & bolts less than 1/4 inch in diameter)
- Rootballs
- Dirt, Rock, Concrete, or Bone
- Hazardous Wastes
- Putrescent Wastes (fruit, animal waste, meat, etc.)
