Coastal Watershed Council Water Tour Series
The 2014-15 Water Tour series is here! Join the Coastal Watershed Council and fisheries biologist, Don Alley, to see the fish of Soquel Creek up close! At this family-friendly tour, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about fish ecology, see living fish, and even get involved!
A boat just upstream of the Stockton Bridge in the Village of Capitola will drop a seine net in the water, which will then be lifted to pull in and capture fish. Throughout the day 300 steelhead will be caught and checked for markers, from which biologists can estimate the number of steelhead living in the watershed.
To RSVP for this tour, email tours@coastal-watershed.org or call (831) 464-9200 today or call the Coastal Watershed Council at 831.464.9200! Meet at Stockton Bridge in Capitola Village.
