Capitola Beach Lifeguard Captain

The City of Capitola is currently recruiting for the position of Beach Lifeguard Captain.  The Beach Lifeguard Captain Position is a Part-Time/Seasonal position, not to exceed 960 hours in a calendar year. Candidates for the Beach Lifeguard Captain must be available for full-time employment (40 hours per week) for the summer months (May through August).

The Beach Lifeguard Captain, along with the Beach Lifeguard Lieutenant/Junior Lifeguard Coordinator will be responsible for reestablishing the Capitola Beach Lifeguard program.  The Beach Lifeguard Captain will work with the Santa Cruz Fire Department to established shared open water lifesaving responsibility for Capitola Beach in 2017.
