Beach and Village Parking Lots - Upper and Lower
Capitola has more than 220 parking spaces in the Lower Beach and Village Parking Lot 2, located behind City Hall at 420 Capitola Avenue. You can access both Beach and Village Parking Lots (Upper and Lower) from Capitola Avenue, Bay Avenue, and Monterey Avenue. Both parking lots are a short distance from Capitola Village and Capitola Beach. Parking costs are $1.00 per hour and you can park for up to 12 hours. These lots are highly recommended if you plan to stay longer than the two and three-hour limits imposed in the Village parking spaces.
Summer Shuttle
During typical summers, there is a free shuttle service from the Beach and Village Parking Lots to Capitola Village. The shuttle is available Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Memorial Day weekend through mid-September.
Village Parking
Most parking spaces in the Village will not allow you to continue occupying the same parking space for longer than two or three hours (Max time posted) without being required to move to another space. Vehicles may be cited if they remain in the same space longer than the maximum time posted, regardless of continuing to pay for the space. Vehicles must be moved to another space every three hours. The rate to park in the Village is $2.00 an hour.
Cliff Drive Parking
Longer-term paid parking (4-hour and 12-hour) is available on Cliff Drive, west of the Village. Parking costs $2.00 per hour.
