Capitola Library Closing Surplus Sale May 19-20

The Friends of the Capitola Branch Library are having a sale to benefit the building campaign. Come for the festive sale featuring live music and take home great books and surplus library furniture.
The sale runs from 10 a.m.to 5 p.m. on Saturday, with music by folk musician Chicken Mama starting at 3 p.m.
On Sunday the sale runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a special $5 for each bag of books starting at 1 p.m. Jazz band Persephone will perform.
In addition to great deals on books and library furniture, the Homeless Garden Project will be at the sale with farm products crafted by hand and heart to benefit its mission providing job training, transitional employment, and support services to people who are experiencing homelessness.
