Opera at the Beach Sponsorship

The Capitola Art & Cultural Commission and the City of Capitola are look for sponsor(s) for our Opera at the Beach Event.  In 2015 an anonymous donor provided the funding to have the Bay Shore Lyric Opera Company perform Don Giovani at Capitola Esplanade Park.  The initial event was such a success; we want to have it continue in 2016 and beyond.  We however need to have sponsor(s) for the event.  We are looking to raise at least $2000 in sponsorship, which will pay for the opera company, musicians and the sound engineer.  The City will market and promote the event through sources in the county and the regional art and cultural community.

This year, the opera will take place on Sunday, September 18th from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Capitola Beach Esplanade stage.  The Bay Shore Lyric Opera Company will be performing The Marriage of Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.  This year the opera will be accompanied by Conductor Michael DiGiacinto and members of the Winchester Orchestra.

Last year was the inaugural year of this very unique event and we anticipate it getting larger every year as more people in the region become aware of it.  This is an opportunity for you or your company to become associated with the event.
