Monterey Bay Community Power Update Feb. 8
Monterey Bay Community Power (MBCP), the new regional partnership between local governments that will soon begin providing clean-source electricity, will present an update and overview at the February 8 Capitola City Council meeting.
MBCP will deliver its customers clean, carbon-free electricity over existing PG&E power lines, and PG&E will continue to maintain the lines and provide customer service as in the past. Service to commercial customers will begin March 1, 2018, and to residential customers on July 1.
The MBCP update is on the regular City Council agenda. The meeting begins at 7 p.m.
